The Crockpot is a Man’s Best Friend (in the Kitchen)

We here at Manpacks love finding new ways to live better without creating more work for ourselves. It’s one of the reasons we created this service. And we’re betting you love it as well – it’s probably one of the reasons you’re on our site. So we got to thinking about the various lifehacks, shortcuts, and random tricks we’ve found to make our daily lives easier (beside subscribing to Manpacks, of course) and have decided to share them with you, the Manpacks community.
All right men, listen up: Get a crockpot.
Seriously.
We know it seems like a piece of advice that your great aunt Gertrude would give you, but that doesn’t make it any less true. Besides, Aunt Trudy tends to be right about these sorts of things.
Look, we get it. You come home from a long day at work, maybe hitting the gym on the way, and you’re too tired to make yourself a real meal. So you’re left with two options: order some take out or make a bologna sandwich, neither of which is exactly the healthiest option. Of course, men who are married might not have this problem (we admit that’s kind of sexist, but it’s still true), but it’s the 21st century and it wouldn’t kill you to handle making dinner once in a while. Plus, it’ll score you points with the Mrs..
Enter the crockpot. This thing is genius – all you’ve got to do is simply throw in the ingredients and then turn it on when you leave for work. Boom, done. And when you get back dinner’s all ready. Some recipes require a bit more prep work than others, but most aren’t more than 10-15 minutes. And you don’t have to worry about burning or undercooking, or dealing with a whole bunch of pots and pans which saves time on cleanup as well.
A few of our favorite (and easy to make) recipes we recommend you try out:
And if none of those catch your fancy, there are millions of other recipes online for you to find as well.
So trust us, men. Get a crockpot.
