New Product: Rainbow Light Men’s One Multivitamin

We usually call these “Product Reviews,” but how do you review a multivitamin? Rather than gush about how superhuman the Rainbow Light multivitamins made us feel, let’s post some facts and let you decide for yourself.

Facts!

1) Vitamins will lose their potency over time.

It’s important to buy fresh vitamins (be wary of online clearances – deep discounts usually mean old vitamins). We’ve got a direct supply of these vitamins that are well within their expiration date*, and will try to make sure you’re taking them** instead of stockpiling them in a cabinet. Regardless of expiration, you’ll want to store them properly to avoid decomposition.

2) Men need a multi low in iron.

Because we don’t menstruate, thank the maker. While we can absorb iron from what we eat, once the iron is in our body it pretty much has no way to get out. Iron produces “free radicals”; oxygen-containing molecules which can damage the DNA of cells and increase the risk of cancer. Worse, iron also feeds cancer cells—the nutrient they need the most. You’ll get what iron you need from your diet (meat, eggs, fish, leafy greens etc).

3) Balance is the benefit.

Try to get all your nutritional needs covered in your diet, but a multivitamin will help balance out any deficiencies from day to day.
